Born and raised in Oakland, CA, Lady Soul comes from a family of many talents. The talents God has given her are singing, songwriting and bringing life to many through her songs.

Inspired to sing at a young age, Lady Soul would listen to and often try to imitate such artist as Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey by singing the same high noted and different variations of their songs.
Lady Soul started her singing career by writing poetry, which always often turned into songs. So, as you see, songwriting has always been and will always be a big part of her life. Her first performance was at a block party for a Youth Project singing “His eyes are on the Sparrow.” Since then Lady Soul has performed at many venues and events with and for many artist!

Currently, Lady Soul has joined musical forces with Hip Hop recording artist and brother Mista Kista along with a few others to form a long partnership and music career (going forward) as a company known as “Rebel Nation Productions”. Rebel Nation Productions represents many things, such as God first, family and respect. This production introduces a multiple genre of music consisting of and ranging from R&B, Soul, Rap, Hip Hop and even Political rap. “Rebel Nation Productions has opened many doors for me”, says Lady Soul. “Thru them, I have met and networked with many artists with whom I am currently working with today!”

The next chapter in Lady Soul’s music career can be described as nothing short of an upward climb for the soul singer. After working on different projects for many artists and writing many songs, Lady Soul had finally made time to work on her own project. She is currently working on her upcoming album which will be titled “Life and the Pursuit of Happiness. Lady Souls says: “This new CD will give all the listeners a little insight into the heart and mind of Lady Soul. On this album you will hear of the ups and downs that many other people face in their lives today."

“In my songs, I try to express how I felt and what was my thoughts at given time or particular women, as well as how I (as a lady) wanted to handle the situation”. Lady Soul has always expressed different emotions within her music. As you and I, she’s been happy, sad, energetic and lively but thru it all she’s always found time to praising God.
